Private Passenger Vehicles and Commercial Passenger Vehicles.
Trucks, buses over 3,5 tons
The fumes of the car are being checked according to the expected procedure and their rates are compared with the permitted limits (according to the current legislation).
Brake Control
Convergence – Divergence Control
Suspension System Control
Lights Control
Various parts of the car are being checked provided by the current legislation, while a check is being made for possible vehicle deficiencies and for an evaluation of the condition of different parts of the car (mirrors, bumpers, tires, fire extinguisher, pharmacy etc.)
All measurements and results of the control are inserted and printed out.
The first technical control KTEO happens 4 years after the date of classification of the new vehicle and then it is repeated every 2 years.
When the vehicles do not abide by the provided control time frames, then fines are submitted for overdue technical control.
If a vehicle comes for control 3 weeks before or 1 week after the date of administration of the 1st vehicle registration, then the control is considered in time and the vehicle is obliged to pay only for the supply costs of the services of the KTEO.
If the limits mentioned above are surpassed, the vehicle is considered overdue and a fine is submitted as additional cost to the overall cost of the service together with a special fee determined by the state.
The special fee (e-payment abandoned to the state) is determined by the days or months of the delay.
When a vehicle does not “pass” from the technical control KTEO, then it is obliged to reexamination with the corresponding charges (reexamination) and a fine in the case which it does not abide by the time span of the reexamination.
